Rather than creating employment, ‘Battle of Mind’ aims to promote BATB. With different advertisements and promotions, in last 11 years (2004 - 2014), BATB has employed only 71 individuals whereas the participants were 15,000 but it has spent funds worth crores in organizing road shows, travelling, entertainment, and media advertisement. To promote the brand, attract the youths in smoking and manipulate the policy makers, BATB every year organizes the death-marketing. This year BATB has already started the registration of ‘Battle of Mind 2015’ which will be continued till October 15, 2015. To stop the illegal competition legal steps by the government is a must. Besides, the anti-tobacco platforms should also raise voice against the issue.
Moreover, to expand their business, recently the tobacco companies have started different alluring activities across the country. Unless the illegal activities are not controlled, the required result of the tobacco control law could not be derived. Let us contribute in tobacco control law implementation process by unveiling the masks of the tobacco companies. Let us contribute on public health protection.
