PMI finally cancels Marlboro promo concert

Phillip Morris International (PMI) has to stop its ‘Live 2 RockCity’ concert which was scheduled to be held at the Engineers Institute in Ramna on November 14, 2014. With the well-timed attempts of Anti-Tobacco Media Alliance (ATMA) and PROGGA, PMI finally postpones the concert. On their official facebook page, created over the concert programme, they posted – “This has been a disturbing year thanks to the universe coming upon us. Newton's third law states that every force has an equal and opposite force. And that opposite force is really picking up to well, stop the rock scene from growing positively. ..... This is something that we have never done.” Remarkably, ATMA and PROGGA started activities both on media and social networking websites with the demand to stop the concert after the first its first part was held at the All Community Club on November 07, 2014 in capitals posh area- Gulshan, and finally succeed to close down the promotion of PMI in guise of the concert. PMI primarily aimed to promote Marlboro cigarette among the youths participating at the concert venue.
