Death Marketing-1BATB's New Investment Will Only Raise Deaths and Medical Expenses
British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) has recently decided to invest BDT 574 crore to increase cigarette production and focus on the export of their products. Such investment is in grave conflict with the HPM's vision of a tobacco-free Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, tobacco claims 126,000 lives a year and creates hundreds of thousands of disabilities. BATB'a investment will only spike the numbers and add more devastation to an already chaotic picture. |
