Death Marketing-1Aggressive Brand Promotion Campaign of JTI
Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has been aggressively pushing its brand countrywide by decorating points-of-sale with cig packs and its identical brand colors and providing alluring display boards. Sales representatives are also seen wearing promotional t-shirts carrying the brand colors and logo. The sole purpose of this campaign is to encourage people to light up and create new smokers. Such advertisement and promotion must be stopped by amending the tobacco control law and ensuring its strict implementation. |
