Abul KHayer Tobacco Violating the tobacco control Law

Abul Khayer Tobacco Company (AKTC) is promoting its brand Marize Black Diamond cigarettes through processions using banners, festoons, placards, and hand mikes. The company is offering bicycles, watches, table fans and other prizes for purchasing cigarettes of this brand. According to the Article 5 of the Smoking and Tobacco Products Usage (Control) Act, 2005, any advertisement and promotion of tobacco products is banned and is considered a punishable offense. Implementation of the law in the strictest term must be ensured to put an end to such advertisement and promotional activities.
