Death Marketing -2DTI sets trap a new
Dhaka Tobacco Industries (DTI) has turned desperate to promote its ‘Bond’ cigarette. It is printing leaflets with texts like “100% Imported Ingredients” only to attract the youths. Besides, the advertisements are posted next to containers of biscuits, chocolates which easily attracts the kids and youths. Remarkably, such promotions are punishable offence with a simple imprisonment not exceeding three months or monetary fine worth Tk not less than 100,000 or the both, and if the crime is repeated, the penalties will increase gradually. Suh ill tactics should be stopped to protect the public health. |
