Aggressive Campaign to Promote Vaping

Vape traders have been conducting an aggressive promotional campaign to get the youth hooked on vaping as a so-called ‘safe alternative’ to traditional cigarettes. Misleading information regarding vaping is being spread all over Facebook. Physicians have been involved and there has been an online petition campaign too to promote vaping. Based on evidence, the World Health Organization (WHO) has identified e-cigarette and vaping as harmful for health. According to WHO, these products also help the novel coronavirus spread. To safeguard the youth from the harmful effects of e-cigarette and vaping, the import, marketing and sale of these products need to be banned at the earliest.
