The Campaign

The campaign entirely aims at shielding the tobacco control policies and their implementation from the vested interests of tobacco industry by discrediting it through exposing its ill tactics of tobacco promotion and undermining tobacco control policies. The key strategies to achieve the purpose are the following:

• Raising policy awareness on the need for effectively regulating the tobacco industry by exposing its outline to entrap farmers towards tobacco farming for expanding tobacco cultivation.

• De-normalize tobacco industry through creating policy level and mass awareness about various promotional tactics of the industry including violations of tobacco control law with regard to advertising, promotion and sponsorship.

• Combat tobacco industry influence on the government agencies for undermining strong tobacco taxation measures
