Black T-shirts with Java Black logo, smart handbags and laminated identity cards hanging from neck is the latest trend for Java Black promotion in the capital which clearly violates the amended tobacco control law. The small handbag, with Black Cigarette logo, contains fewer packets but they also can serve larger quantity based on needs from their shoulder bag. Multifaceted advertisements of Black cigarettes have been going on in different parts of Dhaka city like distributing attractive box among the cigarette hawkers, cigarette distribution box installed on bicycles resembling Black cigarette packets and colour etc. are notable. Besides, sales representatives, attired in the aforesaid T-shirts and handbags, sell Black cigarettes in the local retail stores and the youths are playing the sales representatives’ role. |
